Sonny Knight & the Lakers | Cave Man | The Lowertown Line
Who doesn’t love a soulful ensemble that performs in suits? Soul man Sonny Knight’s music is fueled by an unexpected assortment of life experiences, including a deployment to Vietnam and miles spent on the nation’s highways as a long-haul trucker. Backed by his seven-piece band The Lakers, Sonny Knight’s style runs deeper than throwback soul, and his songs weave together themes of “overcoming adversity, love found, love lost, and societal observation.” Warning: Their performance will make you dance. In public. At home. Wherever you happen to watch it. Don’t miss the full-length episode on lowertownline.org: http://www.lowertownline.org/video_artist/sonny-knight-the-lakers/.
